Keywords & platforms
Fine-tune what BrandSonar searches for and where it looks.
Keywords and platforms are initially set up for you during the brand creation wizard, but you can adjust them at any time from your brand's settings.
Keywords
Keywords are the terms BrandSonar scans for across platforms. You'll find them under Settings → Keywords. Add your brand name, product names, abbreviations, or campaign names. Keywords and domains share a combined limit based on your plan.
Domains
You can also track mentions of your website. Add your domain (e.g. acme.com) and BrandSonar will catch posts that link to it.
Negative keywords
Getting too many irrelevant results? Negative keywords filter them out. Any post containing one of these terms gets skipped during scanning. You can add up to 5 per brand.
These are especially useful if your brand name is a common word. For example, a brand called "Linear" might add "linear algebra" and "linear regression" to filter out math and data science posts.
Social profiles
Add your own social profiles so BrandSonar can tell your posts apart from third-party mentions. Click Add profile, pick the platform, and paste the profile URL. This works for X, Reddit, YouTube, Hacker News, and Bluesky.
Platforms
Under Settings → Platforms, toggle on the platforms you want to monitor. BrandSonar currently supports Reddit, X, YouTube, Hacker News, and Bluesky.
Some platforms have extra settings. For example, you can choose whether to include retweets on X or comments on Reddit. These are optional and default to sensible values.
